BEYOND VANILLA XXII ANNOUNCES NEW VENUE FOR 2012

Dallas, TX - The Beyond Vanilla Committee proudly announces the first in several exciting developments in store for 2012. Our event will be hosted this year by a new venue -- the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Downtown Dallas. This newly renovated hotel features a large meeting space perfect for our mix of classes, vending, entertainment, and social activities.
The Crowne Plaza Downtown Dallas has quality amenities such as 24-hour fitness and business centers, an outdoor pool and whirlpool, and the highly acclaimed THRIVE restaurant and club. It’s located just blocks from the West End Historic District, featuring a number of different entertainment and dinner choices...
...including the Dallas World Aquarium, the Sixth Floor Museum, and over 20 different restaurants. For those wishing to venture further or wanting a ride back home after a night on the town, the hotel offers guests a complimentary shuttle.
With the new venue, attendees can take advantage of the special rate of $100 per night. This places them just a short elevator ride away from the weekend’s festivities. For those stopping by for the day, the hotel has an onsite parking garage directly attached to the building. Guests can also leave their car and travel in on any of the Dallas Area Rapid Transits rail lines to the West End Station just two blocks away.
In addition to the new venue, this year will feature an amazing lineup of national, regional, and local presenters with topics that will appeal to the novice and expert alike. The Keynote Dinner, held Saturday, September 29, will be a night to remember with Buck Angel, the internationally known motivational speaker and adult film star. Attendees will also see favorites such as Friday night entertainment, the vendor fair, the silent auction, the Teeter-Totter-a-Thon featuring a midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and an onsite play party.
Beyond Vanilla XXII will be held September 28-30, 2012. Tickets to the play party and keynote dinner (available to registered attendees) and the availability of the event hotel room rate are limited so early registration and reservations are strongly encouraged. Dallas, TX - The Beyond Vanilla Committee proudly announces the first in several exciting developments in store for 2012. Our keynote speaker this year will be the internationally renowned motivational speaker and pioneering adult film star Buck Angel.
Buck was born genetically female but lived much of his childhood generally treated and accepted as a boy by family and peers. The onset of puberty, however, started a confusing time that led to extreme distress and loathing over what he was feeling. Unfortunately, Buck turned to drugs and alcohol to deal with the conflict. Despite a successful career as a female high-fashion model, the self-destructive behaviors continued to take him in a downward spiral.
Buck began taking the necessary hormones and underwent breast-removal surgery. His transformation has led to peace and self-acceptance.
