A perpetual student, JAKE is a greybeard hedonist who was introduced to Japanese style rope bondage in 2003.  Shibari on the internet arrived just in time to save him from a tired vanilla seniority. Meeting and learning from international rope artists since 2005 at Austin Ropecraft Symposium and ShibariCon hooked him - he now finds rope to be too much fun to ever stop tying. He loves to share his enthusiasm with others who want to explore this ‘captivating’ diversion.  Rope bondage is the kink that never stops growing, always yielding discoveries and interesting new friends.  JAKE particularly enjoys introducing newcomers to rope, demystifying it for those who claim to be all thumbs, and reminding longtime players that it sometimes can really be ‘all about the rope’. Active all around Texas, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Chicago, this happy ropehound / photographer looks forward to sharing cordage & images with you.

Basic Rope

Are you curious about rope but intimidated by all the terminology and knots?  Let these three experienced Rope Tops help get you started.  If you can tie your shoes you can securely tie up people!  Jake, prairie and Jackal will take turns demonstrating techniques that are useful, practical and safe.  Bring a little bit of rope with you because this is a hands-on format class!
