Jim DuvallJim Duvall is a professional photographer form the Seattle area. He shoots primarily erotic art and porn for websites. His work has been featured in galleries and art festivals all over the nation. He is a monthly columnist and photographer for the LGBT magazine The Betty Pages. He is one of the founders of the Center for Sex Positive Culture (the Wetspot) and is a past president of its Board of Directors. He is Chair of the board of the NCSF. He teaches regularly on topics ranging from BDSm to sex to rope bondage. Edge Play The edge of what? For some this means the edge of sanity, safety, reason, or the edge of a knife. We will spend some time on some discussions and examples of different types of edge play for different people. There will be some participatory exercises to find your edges and better express them. We will talk about techniques to eliminate risks while keeping the edge or charge we want in our play. Participants should expect to have to talk about their own experiences and kinks. Negotiations for BDSM In the corporate world negotiation is often about getting an advantage over your adversary. In politics it is often about compromises and selling out. In BDSM the playing field is quite different. Often both parties are out for the same thing or very similar things. The trick is to really put this into words. We will play with some techniques for putting your desires into words and getting them out there. Verbal participation is encouraged to get the most out of this class.
